For nearly 25 years, Tony Cipriano has created sculpture for the film and collectibles industries. He has created prototypes for DC Entertainment, Marvel Entertainment, Warner Brothers Studios, Nickelodeon, Hasbro Toys, and many others.
Bronze commissions include works of professional athletes for Madison Square Garden & the New York Knicks. He is currently developing a life-sized bronze statue of actor James Arness for installation in Dodge City, Kansas.
Tony began his art career with Walt Disney Feature Animation Studios. He has worked as an animation artist and a sculptor on several of Disney’s most popular films in recent years, and has also worked for Dreamworks Feature Animation sculpting animator models on a freelance basis.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Tony attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Art Education. Hired on at Disney Studios directly out of college, he spent 7 years in-house before leaving in 1997 to pursue sculpture, full-time.
His studio is on Long Island, NY where he lives with his wife, three children, and three dogs.
